A timeline of the improvements and developments at your home for squash

SquashWest, formerly known as the Concord Acton Squash Club (CASC), required significant maintenance and modernization work. Since being purchased in November of 2021, we have been continuously revamping the club.  Please check out the pictures below.

  • Replacing floor on court 4 with maple strips (consistent with the other courts)
  • Upgrading heating system in the court 5/6 area by replacing propane unit with highly efficient heat pumps
  • We are going GREEN!

Winter / Spring 2024

 

Spring / summer 2023

  • Total reconstruction of our main gallery above courts 1 – 4
  • Removed old carpets, kitchenette, storage closet, and dividing walls
  • Added LVT maple flooring, fully furnished modern kitchen area, and 60′ of solid cherry shelf with glass sides overlooking courts 1 – 3
  • Modernized the lounge with new furniture and TV
  • Repaired and repainted Front Wall of courts 2, 3, & 6; Sanded and re-lined floors of courts 1, 2, 3, 5, & 6
  • Installed new LED lighting and motion sensors in all of the courts and hallways
  • Erected a new fence next to the riverfront patio

 Winter 2022 – 23

Fall 2022

  • Modernized the men’s and women’s locker rooms
  • Set up a communal entertainment center in the great room on the 2nd floor
  • Installed new Bluestone patio for outdoor recreation
  • Replaced floor between courts 5 & 6 with new vinyl plank athletic flooring
  • Restocked the fitness room with new and improved equipment
  • Set up a communal entertainment center in the great room on the 2nd floor
  • Installed new Bluestone patio for outdoor recreation

Spring 2022

  • Painted 1st floor hallway, 1st floor room between courts 5 & 6, and 2nd floor fitness rooms in Squashwest colors – Red, White, and Blue
  • Replaced decades-old rug in 2nd floor fitness room with new E-Core fitness flooring
  • Installed and went live with our new Squashwest website and Club Locker site
  • Implemented new Squashwest name and branding
  • Improved the grounds with targeted landscaping, a new OpenPath door system, and a flag pole with solar lighting
  • Added a new beer and wine system for the club

  • Updated heating and AC units with Halo LED Air filtration for Covid safety
  • Built storage shed in the back to declutter and modernize indoor common areas
  • Installed new shower heads and towels
