About Us

We are Squashwest of Boston
The name of Squashwest denotes the physical setting of our club, as well as the alternative club for a changing corporate workforce model.
We are Squashwest of Boston. Squashwest is the squash club in the Metrowest Boston, Assabet Valley area in the western suburbs of Boston.
We feel that our location, as well as our strategy, makes us a family fitness club of choice. We imagine ourselves similar to the old time village squash club in England, where people congregate for sport and social. Our youth clinics are continuously running, and we offer women’s clinics and round robins, and men’s round robins and club tourneys. Our doubles court is a great way for people of all abilities to test their skills. We are easy to find, a short drive for many, on-site parking, and a warm, open, diverse community.
Another key to the branding of ‘SquashWest’ is the changing corporate workforce model, post Covid. For years, many of us have had an office in Boston and lived in the Western suburbs. Our squash club in Boston provided sport, fitness, and fun for us during the week.
As we know, the concept of a fixed desk for a workforce has diminished in terms of corporate workplace strategy. Covid has accelerated the obvious, that women and men can work extremely productively from a home office desk, with the aid of video meeting technology. The modern worker requires this home office environment some of the time, as they reclaim their commute time for themselves, and find they are generally more productive without the distraction and interruption of the office.
“Men and women of the western suburbs are making Squashwest their second club; their non-city club. With 6 courts, court time is always available, and we offer these players easy membership options that recognize their use of the club as a second club. Specifically, our pay-n-play option allows a member type that is paying for courts only; with no monthly fee.
Our vision is that with the combination of our convenient location, our large parking lot, and our open wifi-enabled spaces, one can drive / park / play / shower / drive in a 90 minute window. One can also take their business call from the convenience of our lounge or patio, before or after a game. One of Squashwest’s home office alternatives looks like this … it’s a serene and scenic spot for a video call.
